Satellite Navigation Consultant

Initial 3 month contract
Key Accountabilities
This individual will bring a track record and experience in GNSS ASIC development and fabrication life cycles (from Cradle to grave), with an emphasis on System on Chip (software, firmware) ASIC. They will have an in-depth understanding of the ASIC life cycle, fabrication processes and how to drive efficiencies into the development programme.
Ideally the candidate will have worked in the commercial/mass production ASICs markets (not MEMS). Knowledge of GNSS very desirable.
Business
- Provide consultancy advice and support to a complex ASIC development programme team.
- Sharing experience and knowledge of SOC, ASIC processes, guidelines and efficiencies.
- Leading, directing and ensuring the design, implementation and delivery of the next generation of ASIC GNSS receivers within the Secured Navigation team with time, cost and quality.
- Managing technical cross-dependencies between several contributing projects.
- Technical risk management.
- Stakeholder management of both internal and external stakeholders
- Developing and leading valued relationships with key suppliers including ASIC house and foundries.
- Pro-active management of sub-contractors, maintaining tight delivery schedules and ensuring value for money
- Provide thought leadership to the stakeholders to influence their product strategy
- Maintaining momentum within the programme and where appropriate helping to drive efficiencies into technical delivery.
