Survey Engineer - Radio (DAB, FM)
Location: Nationwide/Winchester (2/3 days split)
Comvergent are seeking an experienced Survey Engineer for a large network transformation project with a goal of refreshing transmitter sites.
Responsibilities of Survey Engineer - Radio (DAB, FM):
- Visit and survey transmitter sites to identify the of DAB and FM Radio Services.
- Identify connectivity options;
- Rack locations for network switch and Routers
- Cable routes between network equipment and service equipment
- Define power requirements
- Deliver updated CAD drawings to reflect the above
- Provide technical knowledge to deployment teams
Essential skills & requirements:
- Experience of performing site surveys or installations in previous roles
- Strong Cisco Router and switch products and producing high level design documents.
- Experience of power, network equipment and site installations would be desirable
- Able to travel 2-3 days a week (nationwide, in clusters), then work ideally from the office in Winchester (remote work possible down the line).
- RF Awareness, Rooftop Access Manual Handling certs would be beneficial
