Senior Network Architect
Our customer is a global player in the fast-moving international TV business. They require a Network Architect to join their team to be onsite at least 4 days per week in Amsterdam. Working within the Network Architecture team providing core and backbone network Infrastructure (IP/MPLS, IP Routing etc) you'll be working with deployments in both Netherlands, Germany and the UK
Role
Define, design and document IT business solutions, delivering Business Solution Architecture (BSA) document, corresponding UML artefacts (ie Activity Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, Use Cases) and Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) in support of documenting the program/project scoped IT business solution.
Ensure that the solution architecture is compliant and aligned to the published Enterprise Architecture blueprints and product, technology and infrastructure roadmaps. Direct a design change control to ensure that all changes are considered in relation to the end-to-end design baseline. Ensure that the solution is aligned to defined scope but also positioned for future requirements.
Review and approve design artefacts for the IT business solution (ie Functional Designs, Technical Designs, Interface Specifications, Data Mappings etc.), liaising with cross functional teams to achieve high quality designs.
Co-operate with the Enterprise Architects on definition of the E2E architecture to assure the integrity, robustness and efficiency of the future E2E solutions. Identify opportunities to increase reusability and maximise cost synergies.
Experience
*10 years plus experience in the Industry with service provider environment as a Designer/Architect
*High Level Architecture experience
*IP/MPLS Experience
*Security Standards for IP Core Networks
*CICSCO CCIE OR Juniper
*CISCO and Juniper Routers or Nokia and Alcatel platforms
*Designer for services across Networks
You will be based 4 days a week min in Amsterdam and 1 day could be from home. English speaking environment and interview can be conducted via Skype if not local
