System Administrator - HW Deployment with profound UNIX knowledge wanted for our Zurich based client in the financial sector.Your experience/skills:
- Profound working experience as a system administrator in HW deployment, ideally in a large-scale computing environment
- Strong background in HW installation, configuration and setup process with a solid understanding of a UNIX (Solaris), Linux and Windows based operating systems as well as TCP/IP networking
- Decent troubleshooting and scripting skills in Shell, Python and Perl
- Familiar with DELL, Lenovo, HP Server HW and Blade Chassis, HPE Flex 10, Virtual appliances, OneView, OpenManage Essentials, XClarity, ILO, iDRAC, IMM, CMM Chassis Managment Module and OA Onboard Adminstrator
- Good communication and documentation skills with the ability of understanding business priorities and adequately prioritising work
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Participating in global hardware deployment roll out, setup and configuration of new infrastructure systems and services to coordinate maintenance activities
- Working autonomous and independently on project deliveries and ensuring the delivery of goals in timely manner
- Automating repetitive tasks and implementing automated procedures
- Troubleshooting any issues related to deployment and supporting the engineering team
- Communicating and collaborating with internal partners for designing, planning and coordinating of implementation
- Working closely with engineering on enhancements and improvements as new scenarios are discovered during the process
