What is the purpose of this Role?

We currently have a vacancy for an ITP3 level 4 Windows Server Administrator based in Cork IT Operations Centre, Cork Airport Business Park, Cork.
The team is responsible for the support and maintenance of the Windows Server Farm by providing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, administration, account management and resolution of software and hardware issues.

A key part of the role will be to support a DevOps environment in our Digital strategy team, in particular in supporting releasing to deployment, Infrastructure Configuration and Monitoring.

1. Accountabilities for your role - what are you expected to do?

Act as an escalation point for customers
Compiling and review technical processes and procedures to meet technical and regulatory standards of excellence.
Supporting Windows Server platforms
Support VMware Environments (using. ESXi)
Support a DevOps environment in an agile Digital environment, in particular for releases to live and Infrastructure management. Review options for automated releases to Production in order to improved speed/reliability for software releases.

3. Technical Competences for your Role - what are you expected to know?

1. Expertise

Experience in supporting Windows Server platforms is essential.
Experience in supporting Digital team for speedy deployments

2. Content/Technical Knowledge

Experience in VMware Environments (esp. ESXi) an advantage.
IT Diploma College Certification or equivalent.

Technical background of sufficient depth and width to be able to recognize opportunities for their team.
