WebSphere MQ Systems Administrator
6 months Rolling
Dublin - (Flexible to work a level remotely)
A global client has an urgent requirement for a WebSphere MQ Systems Administrator - distributed platform for a 6-month rolling contract, based in Dublin
Role Requirements:
- Strong team player who will train junior team members
- Provide out of hours on-call support (24*7) on the team rota
- Strong interpersonal skills, commitment to and good understanding of customer service requirements
- Ensure best practices for MQ environment are in place and adhered to.
- Project Management skills
- Has the ability to work on your own initiative
- Development & maintenance of operational documentation
- Development & maintenance of compliance documentation for WebSphere MQ
Technical requirements:
- Extensive technical knowledge and experience of WebSphere MQ with a minimum of 8 years' experience in building, configuring & tuning MQ across distributed platforms
- High level of experience of MQ Clustering
- Proven experience the Publish/Subscribe Administration
- High levels of expertise in the principles and delivery of MQ Security
- Proven experience of MQ Currency Upgrades
- Familiarity with monitoring products, eg Omegamon, IT Cam, TEPS
Desirable:
- Experience with WebSphere MQ on the Mainframe platform an advantage
- MQ application development
- UNIX Scripting
- Understanding of audit/compliance concepts
