The Central Texas Network Implementation Equipment Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end implementation of macro cell site capacity solutions. You will help to build the foundation that keeps us in front of the competition. Your role will be pivotal to coordinate activities within the network function and across other teams to make completing complex projects look easy.
JOB TITLE: Equipment Engineer
JOB DUTIES:
- Cross functional work is required to collaborate with other teams in the Submarket including Real Estate, RF Design, Construction, Implementation, Operations, and System Performance.
- Review RF Design documents to determine RAN equipment needs and translate this design into a full implementation scope of work to include appropriate power, baseband and minor materials.
- Review closeout packages (COPs) to drive quality and accuracy of installation of equipment by vendors.
- Manage purchase orders to ensure that they are aligned with project implementation timelines.
- Manage vendor relationships to confirm that equipment is delivered and received timely and accordance with company compliance guidelines.
- Deliver on monthly spend targets that help support our capital commitments and maintain program cadence/run rates.
- Utilize project tracking tools and systems to accurately document equipment orders, schedules and installation completions.
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
- 3+ years experience of LTE RAN implementation projects
- Demonstrated experience managing many technical projects simultaneously and delivering results on time
- Demonstrated excellent verbal, written, analytical and communication skills
- Demonstrated strong skill set in critical thinking, problem solving, and influencing/motivating of non-direct reports
- Demonstrated strong knowledge and strong experience with the full suite of Microsoft Office
- *Demonstrated subject matter expertise in Wireless/Cellular/Telecom RAN technologies
- Demonstrated strong ability to coordinate and work well within a team environment to meet common goals
- Strong understanding of 4G LTE technology, Nokia experience preferred
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in a technical field (Electrical, Industrial, Computer Science, etc)
