Essential skills and experience
Qualified to checkpoint CCSE with three or more years experience of managing Checkpoint Firewalls on IPSO, SecurePlatform and Gaia based Hardware
MUST BE CCSE QUALIFIED
Certified Citrix Netscaler Administrator with two or more years experience of managing Netscalers load balancing, application Firewalls and ssl certificates.
An excellent understanding of VPNs; including configuration across multiple vendors and troubleshooting.
An excellent understanding of TCP/IP; including routing, network technologies and common protocols.
Possess excellent written & verbal communication skills;
Will be organised, with proven planning and time management skills;
Possess the ability to build rapport and establish good working relationships.
Desirable skills and experience
A good level of technical expertise and/or understanding of the following technologies and products;
- IBM Data Power
- SMTP and Mail Gateways
- Proxy Servers and Cisco Ironport Web gateways
- Intrusion Prevention Systems
- Security Information and Event Management
- Data Loss Prevention Suites
- Windows, Unix and Linux operating systems and how to secure them
- DNS and BIND
- RADIUS and Cisco ACS
- FTP/SFTP
A broad understanding of the various IT platforms and system software that underpin the main infrastructure components;
Useful skills and experience
A good understanding and awareness of SSE, our business areas and the energy industry.
A good level of technical expertise and/or understanding of the following technologies and products;
- Web technologies; HTTP, IIS, Apache, SSL
- Certificate Authorities and PKI
- Encryption
- SCCM & SCOM
