Position: QC Mechanical Inspector
Location: Glasgow, Scotland
(Contract 2 months)
A respected and highly regarded Contractor is seeking to assign a Quality Engineer to a longstanding marine project located in Scotland.
As the QC mechanical inspector, your key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Working as part of the Quality Assurance Team, is responsible for checking compliance of the activities on site, assisting QA on site.
- Identifying potential defects and providing advice in corrective and preventive actions.
- Assisting Quality Manager in the monitoring and recording of implementation of UK Quality Management System, providing help in the setting up of project plans and protocols.
- To develop an appropriate knowledge of the works information.
Due to the technically challenging nature of this role, it is anticipated
- Inspecting ship pipe systems
- Knowledge of pipe hangering/support, valve connection and flange connection
- Capability to understand and inspect against system drawings.
