Description
Our client is looking for a contract Network Engineer to be based in Strasbourg (France) for a long term contract.
The role will be responsible for:
- Maintaining the network infrastructure: Incident resolution, Problem resolution;
- Troubleshooting, co-ordination with third party suppliers as well as with the central IT department of the customer;
- Advising the project team and areas such as capacity management;
- Contingency planning, environment planning, configuration management and other relevant tasks related to the role;
- Design and implement network solutions;
- Maintains the relevant documents/manuals describing the network infrastructure;
- be on call 7x24 (1 week per month), extra payment for this.
- Provides input for Incidents/Problems/Defects post closure analysis to the Incident/Problem Manager and/or the Technical Team Leader;
- Provides input to organize regular knowledge transfer sessions;
Requirements:
- At least 3 years' experience with F5 BIG-IP Local Traffic Managers,
- At least 3 years' experience with CISCO/HP Switches
- Unix Redhat (preferable knowledge)
- Participating in on call (7*24) once per month;
- Knowledge of ITIL V3 processes.
- Good communication skills.
- Experience in VMWARE/Storage is an important asset
- French Language skills are not mandatory but would be a distinct advantage.
