Our client is currently moving towards a fully automated environment for operations.
Automation expertise is needed to automate infrastructure health-checks with Ansible Tower framework by means of playbooks. Ansible will connect to the infrastructure components, will run the playbook and will return a result indicating if the component is considered healthy, degraded or faulty. This check might be done either selectively against a specific component or broadly for all them. Moreover, it might be done either manually or automatically via another framework out of the scope.
Responsibilities:
· Creating the playbooks needed or using existing modules (if available) and customizing them to needs. Understanding if there are actually modules that can be. The functionality of the playbook will be delivered by our operation engineers.
· Testing the playbooks against our test/crash and burn environment.
· When approved by our operation engineers, promote the playbooks to production environment.
· The infrastructure components aforementioned encompass the following technologies:
IBM SAN Volume Manager (SVC): storage virtualization engine.
· F5 Load Balancer
· Palo Alto firewall: next-generation firewall
