Synergis is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Architect. We are looking for experienced and motivated technologists who possess a unique balance of technical depth and strong interpersonal skills to act in the role of a Senior Infrastructure Solutions Architect. You will partner with customers, Blue Bird Product, Public Cloud and Center of Excellence teams to craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures that address customer business problems. As a trusted customer advocate, the Solutions Architect will help organizations understand best practices around private brick and mortar and public cloud hybrid solutions, and how to migrate existing Legacy workloads successfully to these platforms. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in solutions architecture or consulting.

You will enjoy keeping your existing technical skills honed and developing new ones, so you can make strong contributions to deep architecture discussions. You will regularly take part in deep-dive design exercises to create world-class solutions built on the Blue Bird Platform.
Roles and Responsibilities
As a key member of the implementation team, ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services on the Blue Bird Platform.
Engage with business representatives to elicit and capture requirements within new project initiatives and convert the vision into technical specifications
Educate customers on the value proposition of Blue Bird, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the Blue Bird ecosystem.
Capture and share Blue Bird best-practice knowledge amongst the Blue Bird Solutions Architect and customer community.
Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be Blue Bird advocates.
Act as a technical liaison between customers, engineering teams and operations.
In conjunction with fellow Architects, capture business requirements and tranpose them into technical specifications in order to derive imperically defined infrastructure solutions and provide structured cost estimates for these.
Review designs created by Architects and provide guidance to ensure that solution implementations occur in accordance to Blue Bird best practices
Basic Qualifications
7+ years design & implementation experience with distributed applications
7+ years experience working in complex midrange environments, including Linux, Windows Server, and cloud
Extensive product and engineering knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
5+ years experience in networking/infrastructure or database architecture/softwaredevelopment/middleware.
Proficient with open source software development tools and methodologies
Technical degree required; Computer Science or Math background desired
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years software/technology customer facing experience, preferably in a Professional Services organization.
DevOps experience is a huge plus. Experience with Chef, Rundeck, Katello, Jenkins, Puppet, Git is favored.
Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers
Excellent communication skills with an ability to right level conversations
Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
