Microsoft Remote Desktop Services Engineer

Need someone that can advise out client as to how to set up RDS, properly license, make sure sites are set up properly, finish solution that has been started - scale up and deploy to rest of the sites. Perform documentation so that the solution can be easily replicated to other plants. Some travel (1 time a month) to other sites in North America. Telecommuting one day a week.

Microsoft Remote Desktop Services Engineer configures Windows Terminal Server/Remote Desktop Services to ensure high levels of availability and security for the Statistical Process Analysis platform; and collaborates with many of the organization Information Technology groups for support and for assistance with areas like networks, virtual server environments and system architecture. This position participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure Windows Terminal Server/Remote Desktop Services are consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements while meeting project requirements; and collaborates with network, application, & database administrative functions to implement Windows Terminal Server/Remote Desktop Services that utilize industry best practices to meet corporate objectives for the Statistical Process Analysis Program.

The Remote Desktop Services Support Architect/Engineer installs and configures Windows Terminal Server/Remote Desktop Services and applications; participates in and supports the implementation of policies, procedures, and technologies to ensure Windows Terminal Server/Remote Desktop Services security through secure system access, monitoring, control, and routine security evaluations; and performs tasks necessary to fulfil service level agreements with end users regarding Windows Terminal Server/Remote Desktop Services application availability and security including file system and database configuration and management. The architect/engineer develops a documented, robust solution that will support the Statistical Process Analysis program's objectives while adhering to standards. This role will be responsible for defining the solution, documenting the solution in simple steps to be replicated across the enterprise, implementing the solution, and training the supporting IT teams on ongoing support and troubleshooting.
