Job Title: Master Data Architect
Location: Warsaw, Poland
Job Type: Contract
- Primary responsibility will be to lead the Data Architecture for E2E MD program.
- In this capacity you will be expected to learn and apply information architecture principles,guidelines and best practices.
- You will be expected to understand who owns given product master data elements/attributes, how it flows, how it related to other data and how to model and optimize its usage within new/future E2E MD platform on MS Azure technology.
Role Description:
- Contributes to the creation of principles and guidelines for data architecture in line with over-arching enterprise architecture
- Owns/contributes and maintains the Product/Customer Master Data Conceptual and Logical data model in line with established principles and guidelines,which serves as the blueprint/guide for all application models for E2E MD Platform.
- Contributes to the physical data model (with application manager/engineer) for E2E
- MD platform in line with established principles and guidelines
- Governs the creation of quality application product/customer data models changes for E2E MD platform
- Contributes to the data dictionary and metadata catalog to ensure a consistent set of data architecture standards (taxonomy, naming rules, definitions, data types, etc.) and inventory of available data
- Cooperates with relevant Application Managers/Engineers and Integration Engineers/Architects.
Skills:
- Data architecture and modelling (entity-relationship modelling, normalization, dimensional modelling, source to target mapping), modelling tools (Erwin), MEGA
- Ability to elicit, understand and analyze requirements to go from business concepts into an actual data mod
- Ability to perform data profiling to understand and analyze actual data sources to validate patterns, expected values, sparsity, estimate data volumes and other data profiling concepts
- Data Modeling
- Understanding of system integration, integration architecture patterns
- An understanding of Data Stewardship and Governance (ex DAMA principles) and ability to work with data stewards to ensure high quality data solutions
Enterprise Architecture Basic/Proficient
- Experience managing/owning data elements with at-least 3+ years in Master data management
- Hands-on experience working on master data domains - Product and Customer
- Good understanding of master data elements/attributes, how it is related to other types
- of data and data flows between various systems
- Data architectural principles, guidelines and best practices
- Datamodelling experience - ERWIN/MEGA
- Understanding of Data Quality/Profiling related challenges and best practices
- Good Understanding of data standards and Governance principles, data dictionary,metadata catalog etc.
