Description
A Senior Test Automation Lead with payments experience (Card, Acquiring/issuing), Object Oriented coding, building automation frameworks and API Testing is needed to take ownership of automation strategy with a thriving fintech client in their Testing Centre of Excellence.
As the Senior Automation Lead/Test Architect you will be responsible for extending the test automation capabilities, as well as engaging with Dev, Product and Operations on various strategic automation efforts.From a capability perspective, you will define the go-to market strategies, lead the development of automation assets, drive skill development efforts, and own relationships with tool vendors for Automation
From a TCoE perspective, you will advise projects on end-to-end automation strategies, including completing maturity assessments, creating automation roadmaps, and providing tool recommendation and implementation guidance. You will also manage a team of Automation Engineers who are engaged across Major & Minor Releases, as well as CR. You will be working and reporting into an established QA leader (Head of Test) and be given the autonomy to build out automation as yous see fit.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Provide leadership around test techniques or methodologies to support complex or strategic direction for creation of the automation test suite environment
- Provide leadership in the execution of automated test scripts and validation of requirements
- Lead the design, modification, development, and implementation of test automation architecture and framework
- Responsible for the automation architecture and provides direction on automation techniques.
Essential Skills/Experience
- A strong track record/current test automation-related experience building automation frameworks from scratch with demonstrated success in multiple contexts and tooling.
- Experience workng in an Object Oriented language
- Demonstrated experience with automation across the full application stack, including unit test automation, web services/Middleware automation, and UI automation.
- Excellent knowledge of IT systems development methods, techniques and processes for Web Services, Mid-range Mainframe platforms, Card personalization and Transaction processing systems,
- Extensive knowledge of card business technology and process
- Experience in deploying two or more of the automation tool stacks available in the marketplace, and defining/recommending frameworks for use.
- Experience should include a diversity of technologies, preferably in both packaged and custom-developed applications.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with internal management team and external clients using strong leadership and communication skills
- API Testing experience
