Description
Seeking a Software Configuration Release Manager to work 100% from home, to manage and administer application releases for an external client. Hours of work are Midnight to 8:00 a.m.
Start date: ASAP. 6 month with extensions contacts
1.Duties:
1.1. Collaborate with Clients applications development team, both offshore and domestic, on release procedures, scheduling and deployment
1.2. Escalate/involve internal functional teams as necessary (ie, server, storage, network, desktop, monitoring)
1.3. Review and as necessary edit release documentation
1.4. Create necessary change and release management documentation in ITSM application
1.5. Track related changes and incidents
2. Work environment:
2.1. Be available for overnight (US Eastern Time) deployments: (midnight to 8am)
2.2. Have necessary reliable infrastructure to work remotely
3. Background/Skills:
3.1. Experience with administrating vSphere, Windows, and RHEL (or other Linux distribution)
3.2. Experience with software configuration management tools
3.3. Experience with monitoring tools
3.4. Experience working with offshore teams
3.5. Familiarity with Siebel application services, WebSphere application services and Oracle databases
3.6. Experience and knowledge of structured software development and release management principles
3.7. Previous applications development experience preferred
3.8. Previous experience with Windows system administration a plus
