Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Network Engineer to join a well-established company in Barcelona, Spain.
*You will need to be fluent in English & Spanish*
As a Systems Engineer you will support the Enterprise IT Infrastructure platforms and performs daily and weekly defined tasks. You will assist others in providing system designs, product assessments, Troubleshooting system issues, and customer consulting.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Supports daily essential tasks (tickets, onboardings, etc.).
* Creates documentation for procedures as requested.
* Supports and adhere to systems architecture/infrastructure requirements.
* Works with the IT team to provision HW/network/storage/telephony/Cloud solutions as needed.
* Supports the recommendations of Senior IT leadership.
* Works with contracted support resources in ongoing systems operations support activities.
* Provides on-call support.
* Experiences in troubleshooting.
* Provides preventive maintenance.
* Physical server builds, rack and stack.
* Investigation of security incidents as needed.
* Identify areas for improvement and offers suggestions to improve efficiency and productivity.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Independent worker
Very solid experience with Firewalls, Switches, Servers and virtualization, preferably Fortinet Firewalls, HP Switches, HP Servers and Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization
Experience with managing vendors providing services and providing oversight and escalation for those vendors.
Experience in operational support
Experience in supporting Users
1+ years in the role of a system Engineer I or equivalent experience
Experience with Virtualization technology both design and implementation
Experience with Azure Cloud architecture
Experience with network design and support
Experience with Storage Infrastructure support
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels.
Certification or working on Certification in Networking Design, Storage, Virtualization, or cloud
Experience in migration of workloads in and out of Azure or other cloud solution
Experience with Telephony design and support
1+ years' experience with storage management
