Job description
Working cross-discipline with in-house departments to define the diagnostics design at system level and software level.
You will be the owner of the diagnostics specifications.
Act upon Model Based Design processes (modelling, validation, prototyping, calibration & testing).
Define the verification and validation plan for the diagnostics functions
Vehicle-level testing of diagnostic powertrain functions.
Perform testing on Hardware-in the-Loop (HIL) or in vehicle
Define and develop tools for diagnostics testing.
Tracing hardware-software or system integration problems, and troubleshooting
Analyze test data and document results/findings into development reports.
Follow the development of emission legislation for all global markets.
Profile
Master degree in the field of Automotive, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering
3+ years as Control Engineer within automotive on powertrain/transmission dynamics
Experience with data acquisition and analysis tools (eg CANape, CANalyzer, INCA etc.)
Familiar with diagnostic standards (on-board diagnostics) standards and legal requirements
Knowledge on review techniques (FMEA/FTA)
Familiarity with system/transmission dynamics and able to come up with or judge the detection thresholds
Experience with dSPACE Hardware-in the-Loop (HIL) test systems using Control Desk
