Description
Our client who are national telecommunications organisation are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join them on a permanent basis in either Zurich or Bern.As a DevOps engineer with experience in the automation of database platforms, you work on the core components of our database service. You like working in an agile DevOps team and you are not only familiar with the Oracle database but also with other components of the underlying platform stack (operating system, virtualization, and networking).
The ideal candidate will have the following
- Degree in computer science
- Experienced database/Linux engineer (ideally Oracle 12c and Exadata, RedHat Linux)
- Hands-on programming and software development skills (PL/SQL, Java)
- Familiar with agile methodologies
- Experience in configuration management, automation and scripting (Puppet, Ansible, Bash, Python)
- Ideally, experienced with cloud platforms and Database-as-a-Service products
- Pragmatic and solution oriented
- Willingness to be on-call - you build it, you run it
- Fluent English or German
