Senior IT Engineer (Security, Wintel, Active Director) - Edinburgh
Contract opportunity with ECS Security - one of the UK's leading IT Security Consultancies, based in our Edinburgh headquarters. You will assist with the design, build, testing, maintenance and support of IT systems.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the design of new technology solutions including SOC (Security operations centre) systems. You will contribute to and draft IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by the Board

Principal Accountabilities:
- Contribute to the design of technology solutions, both internal and Managed Service (ie the SOC systems) and evaluate them according to established goals
- Analyse the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology requirements
- Propose efficient and cost effective IT solutions
- Inspect the use of IT equipment and software to ensure security, functionality and efficiency
- Identify the need for upgrades, configuration change or new systems and report on them
- Provide support and advice to staff regarding the use of corporate IT solutions
Required Experience;
- IT security, computer systems (hardware/software)
- Wintel systems with experience managing Active Directory environments
- Demonstrable experience managing Office 365
- Cloud Computing (AWS or Azure) and networks
- Understanding of ISO and operations within regulated environments
