Virtualization Architect - Amsterdam - €590p/d
A telecoms client of mine requires a Virtualization Architect to join there team in Amsterdam.
Essential experience:
- A minimum of five years experience in enterprise and/or infrastructure architecture and solution design.
- Excellent technical skills in modern data center technologies. Desired skill include but are not limited to.
- Server hardware (x86)
- Server virtualization (VMware, LDOMs, zones, containers)
- Storage knowledge (NAS, SAN, RAID concepts, file storage, block storage)
- Foundation services (automation, monitoring, asset management, security)
- Multi-tenancy concepts (Cisco ACI, Juniper Contrail, VMware NSX)
- Cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GDC)
- A solid background in network concepts is also required including concepts of SDN, IPv4, IPv6, VLANs, subnets, NTP, DMZs to a level good enough to work with Network Design colleagues to produce integrated Solution Designs.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in SPARC
- Wxperience with databases (eg Oracle, SQL Server) in a High Availability
