About The Company
My client, based in Rome, Italy, are one of the leading network, telecommunications and mobile technology companies in the world. They have one of the broadest product portfolios in the industry that includes solutions for mobile networks, broadband networks, IP-based networks, optical networks, telecom value-added services, and terminal products. They are looking for an experienced Optical Network Engineer to join their growing team to work on some new and exclusive projects!
About The Role
You will be mainly responsible for optical transmission network planning, design, system integration and migration.
The following responsibilities include, but are not limited to, are:
- Optical devices configuration, isolate and solve problems
- Generation Optical product High Level Design (HLD) and Low Level Design (LLD)
- Subcontractor remote support for the engineering project.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required
- Bachelor in Telecommunication or Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Technician
- At least 3 years practical experience in supporting or deploying optical projects
- Preferred experience for Optical NMS/NOC operation in multivendor environment
- Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, VLAN, WDM, SDH principle and other protocols
- Experience with WDM/SDH/ASON product knowledge and commissioning
- Good analysis and problem solving skills to resolve technical problems
- Autonomous, strong learning and team cooperation ability
- Must be able to speak fluent Italian AND English
