Role - Senior Configuration Engineer
Duration - 6 months
Location - Bucks
Rate - £45-£50 ph
Would you like to work as a Senior Configuration Engineer for a leading player in the Aerospace power generation and distribution industry? Be part of a team who at the forefront of the development curve and pushing the boundaries?
You as the Senior Configuration Engineer will be responsible for ensuring configuration governance to adhere product and site configuration management plans and processes across the Power Division Engineering.
Key skills:
*Coordinating with Industrialisation team to ensure change impacts are ready to be reviewed in conjunction with engineering investigations
*Maintenance and tracking of Development Problem Reports and Change Requests for products in development, manufacture and in-service
*Maintenance of configuration toolset records, ensuring compliance with airworthiness standards
*Support to external & internal Audits including configuration
*Lead and manage Configuration Boards, including setting of agendas and distribution of minutes
*Support to peer reviewing of design activities
Key experience:
*ICM CM2 certified or equivalent qualification or experience
*Experience in the use of engineering documentation (such as Product Definition Document/Product Drawings/Critical Part manufacturing control document)
*Good knowledge of Configuration and Aerospace standards
*Strong understanding of change management, processes and requests
Desirable knowledge:
*Experience in Aerospace manufacturing
*Experience using PLM toolsets such as Teamcenter, Windchill or similar
*Experience in a design office environment
This is a 6-month contract initially, with possibility of extension. The rate range - £45 to £50 per hour depending on the depth of your experience.
