A leading Government client based in Brussels urgently requires 5 systems administrators with various skillsets to join their team as a freelance contract for a rolling 6 month period. You are required to speak English and ideally command French.

Please find below the variations of the different requirements.

DESCRIPTION OF TASKS

The services to be provided are at the level Experienced System Administrator.

The following tasks will be requested:

  • Data Centre Network administration and debugging tasks;
  • Monitoring the network infrastructure by use of the available tools in order to make sure that end-to-end network connection (LAN/WAN) is available, fast, reliable and secure, at all times, in HQs (all buildings), in all Delegations and between them; informing/alerting the responsible service component owner in case of any abnormalities. Taking corrective action as needed;
  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly operational tasks;
  • Participate in the 2nd line support, Problem Management and on-call standby service;
  • Debugging and analysing of reported problems and escalated incidents;
  • Drafting operational guidelines, procedures, installation notices and scripts for the integration, installation and upgrade of aforementioned component services;
  • Assistance with roll-out of new ICT infrastructure projects;
  • Operate in accordance with the defined ITIL processes and procedures;

Description of tasks:

  • Debugging and analysing of reported problems and escalated incidents;
  • Drafting operational guidelines, procedures, installation notices and scripts for the integration, installation and upgrade of aforementioned component services;
  • Assistance with roll-out of new ICT infrastructure projects;
  • Operate in accordance with the defined ITIL processes and procedures;
  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly operational tasks;
  • Participate in the 2nd line support, Problem Management and on-call standby service;
  • Preparation and test of new reference configurations (CRB) for any supported hardware;
  • Integration and testing of new software versions, service packs and configuration changes;
  • Interventioen on ICT infrastructure (workstations, peripherals, etc);
  • Perform patching and software deployments operations;

Description of tasks:

  • Act as Component Coordination
  • Planning of the technical team
  • Follow-up and improve component's quality
  • Follow-up of reported problems and escalated incidents
  • Serve as technical lead for designing, planning, assessing, implementing and/or migrating of the production environment for HQ and Delegations;
  • Interact with service owners, operations managers and service teams to have a holistic view on the service and advise as needed;
  • Management of central monitoring infrastructure;
  • Implementation of test environment and "Proof of Concept" (POC);
  • Participation in training seminars for IT officers;
  • Improve knowledge and competencies;
  • Participate in the 3rd line support, Problem Management and on-call standby service;

  • Drafting operational guidelines, procedures, installation notices and scripts for the
  • integration, installation and upgrade of aforementioned component services;
  • Assistance with roll-out of new ICT infrastructure projects;
