Synergis is seeking a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Developer. The CMDB Developer is responsible for assisting with the managing the federated CMDB and its associated CIs in alignment with strategic company objectives to maximize return-on-investment of the platform. As a member of the IT Service Management (ITSM) team, this person is primarily responsible for configuring and maintaining automated CMDB population and reconciliation processes.
Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Analyst Responsibilities:
- Design, development, and implementation of automated processes for gathering, populating, and maintaining CMDB data.
- Develop reports for management on KPIs to improve the process effectiveness, efficiency, and data accuracy.
Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Developer Required Education, Experience and Skills:
- 3-5 years experience
- Build interfaces between network management systems and CMDB systems.
- Build asset management reports.
- Experience in scripting, writing to API's and databases.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; specialized training; or equivalent professional experience.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow components such as Configuration, Change
- Experience implementing and managing CMDB solutions in ServiceNow.
- Experience in asset and configuration item identification, baseline definition, relationship mapping, CMDB developing administration and IT acquisition processes
- Strong understanding of ITSM processes based on ITIL v3.
- Background in Java Scripting, Python, and REST
Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Developer Desired Experience and Skills:
- Two or more years of experience working in a data center environment; or other relevant critical process environment.
- One or more ServiceNow certifications such as Certified ServiceNow Administrator or Certified ServiceNow Developer.
- Certified in ITIL v3 Foundation.
