Value Demonstration and Access (VD&A) Lead Region Europe (m/f)

Main tasks:
  • Act as a single point of contact for all VD&A issues and activities related to IM,GI/ IMM/NS within the region.
  • Lead the coordination of VD&A initiatives for the region for all inline and pipeline products within therapeutic areas, ensuring seamless global-to-local integration.
  • Setting clear access priorities for the region, in alignment with Region Europe Head, including prioritization of access needs for launch brands and focus markets for the pipeline portfolio.
  • Continuous monitoring of PR&A developments to healthcare system developments, competitor activity or other events within the region.
  • Lead a process for the collection and dissemination of information, data, insight and intelligence on specific regional and country market access requirements in order to ensure that local requirements are being met.
  • Leverage deep understanding of the regional and country market access requirements, the evolving environment and future trends to ensure that the market access regional needs are adequately reflected in the global strategies and plans in development by the relevant EPT and LPT.
  • Lead access-related launch preparedness and pre-launch initiatives to facilitate optimal pricing and reimbursement for each country within the region with guidance from the International VD&A launch lead.
  • Provide required regional market access support to the countries based on their local needs and available resources.
  • Coordinate the collection and dissemination of market access information to support business development and Pipeline assets within International markets.
  • Lead the internal pricing approval process in the sub region for launch brands and for management of tenders for the inline portfolio.


Main qualifications
  • Degree in Health Sciencies or Economics, and Master or postgraduate education in Health Economics are required
  • Profound experience in Market Access in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Comprehensive understanding of the pricing/reimbursement environment and the government/payer review process
  • Knowledge and experience preparing dossiers and regional formularies
  • Excellent understanding & experience of market access needs in the European market
  • Ability to leverage knowledge of marketplace, competitor landscape and economic forces and translate them into clear Market Access strategies
  • Budget management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work well in both a team environment and independently
  • Strategic level thinking
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Networking skills
