I am currently hunting for an Innovative and experienced Product Designer to assist a client of mine with cutting edge wearable technologies applied within Hazardous and Safety Critical environments.
Responsibilities:
Reverse engineering of specific components to enable 3D CAD generation and initiation of production tooling
Verification and validation of internal processes, component parts, sub-assemblies and final assemblies against internal and end-customer specification requirements
Design verification and validation through analytical and physical test methods
Generate prototypes, test plans, and test procedures; ensuring all findings are properly recorded
Exercise problem solving methods to rapidly address and resolve issues found during verification/testing
Exercise personal skills in mechanical and production engineering and techniques, materials engineering, problem analysis techniques, benchmarking, FMEAs, 6sigma and CAD
Requirements:
Highly proficient user of Solidworks 3D CAD software
Experience in new product development within a commercial manufacturing environment
A flair for innovation, able to demonstrate enthusiasm, flexibility, and the ability to learn new skills quickly
Hands on practical experience in development, problem resolution and product testing
Understanding of a broad range of materials and part design and manufacturing processes
