Description
Senior Network Consulting Engineer required to join Global Technology and Communications company.
The Senior Network Consulting Engineer may perform any of the following components of the role breakdown depending on specific engagements:
Required Skills
- Languages: English and Italian
- Excellent understanding of the IP technologies, protocols, network topology and network management tools.
- Excellent understanding of the Network operations processes & Functions.
- Familiarity with cloud computing concepts including virtualization, web services API's, elastic infrastructure, distributed data storage (database, block, object), multi-tenancy, and metered usage patterns.
- Experience with Scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Bash.
- 5-6 years. of experience in IP Core Network Operations and Data Center with service provider
- Nexus platforms product architecture knowledge and hands on experience including Fabric Path, OTV, VDC, VPC technologies:
- Understanding of Data Center architectures, experience in planning, design or implementation of Data Center infrastructure
- Will be able to design, deploy & support Cisco data center products with hands-on experience in operation and configuration of Cisco network devices (eg Routers, Switches, Storage Networks and Servers)
- Experience leading ACI Design and Implementation Engagements
- Act as a focal point for project implementation and ACI troubleshooting and Operations management
- Field level support (smart hands) during reactive actions performed as part of incident management
- Provide assistance for analysing proposed changes and reviewing associated risk
- Good communication skills to include conflict management, negotiation, presentation/demonstration, and written communication.
- Soft Skills in leading team/project management will be preferred. Accountability and self-motivation mandatory.
Preferred Skills
- At least CCNP Data Center certification, CCIE Data Center o VCP is a plus
Experience
- Typically requires BS, CS, or University degree equivalent plus 5-6 years experience in network Consulting or telecommunications support environment. Advanced degree is also preferred.
