Description
Flint require a SIP Migration Engineer to work onsite within a telco operator for the roll-out phase of an ISDN to SIP migration project.
Responsible for Back Office preparation of CPE's and on site at end-customers for migration activities potentially out of hours, and performing pre and post migration testing.
Required to stage and deploy templated config on CPE's from assessing captured customer requirements.
Required skills include a solid understanding of the OSI Stack and Basic IP principles.
Ability to work with both GUI and CLI tools for CPE, building and troubleshooting.
Ability to take packet traces and use Wireshark to diagnose issues.
Appreciation/Understanding of SSL/TLS PKI Certificates, PPPoE/PPPoA, SIP and ideally ISDN telephony.
Desirable skills would include:
- Knowledge and experience with common PBX's.
- Working knowledge of SIP and ENUM as well as a background understanding of IMS networks.
