Role : System Engineer - SCOM & WindowsLocation : Munich, Germany
Duration : 6+ Months
Language requirement: German and English language fluent
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Key tasks include the management, troubleshooting and operations of the global SCOM infrastructure, including SCOM Agent Management, Alert Enhancement Tools, SCOM Authoring, SCOM Interfaces as well as SCOM process support and improvement.
Supervise efficient application of various window patches and security controls
Contribute to the development of industry best practices and standards for deploying enterprise Server technologies
Evaluate emerging technologies to ensure technical solutions are compatible with the Company's business needs and strategic objectives
Investigate, analyze and resolve technical issues and actively pursue mechanisms for preventing, or automating the response to faults
Any other duties commensurate with the level of responsibility of this post and as advised by management
Key Skills:
• Expert knowledge in operating, troubleshooting and evolving the SCOM Servers and the SCOM Infrastructure
• Experience with scripting, preferably PowerShell
• Good understanding of Windows Server operating system and VMware ESXi
• Displays good verbal and written language skills in both German and English
• Experience working with international multilingual teams
• Demonstrates the Services Values of Clients First, Foresight and Teamwork in everything they do
Qualifications: Windows, SCOM and/or VMware certifications desired
Work Experience: Minimum 5 years’ tenure as a System Engineer with extensive experience supporting and troubleshooting SCOM.
