Senior Automated Test Engineer
One of our clients, who are a well-known investment Management Company are currently looking for a Senior Automated Test Engineer. You will be working on a mixture of in-house developed applications and integrations with and customisations of third-party SAAS products. Our client is aiming to strive for 100% automation in a cloud-native, serverless environment.
You will have the following skills:-
You will help them to introduce the necessary tooling to ensure that an uncompromising stance on quality is at the heart of everything we deliver as a team.
Work closely with the software engineering lead to ensure software engineers understand their accountability for quality, and provide them with the tools and skills to take ownership of quality.
You will work with the delivery lead to ensure test coverage, quality gates and release sign-off process is inherent to the SDLC.
Ensure the quality control measures increase the agility of the team, and enable us to deliver product to the customer faster.
What you'll have Skills/Experience/Qualifications:
Have a good understanding of the quality control tools and techniques available to software engineers, and how these can be used to shift quality control left.
Explain the different types of testing that can be applied, and the importance of each.
Understand how quality can be tested continuously, and at every stage of the delivery pipeline.
Appreciate that high levels of repeatable automated tested are fundamental to continuous iterative delivery.
Describe and demonstrate how quality assurance is an enabler rather than an impediment to software delivery, and how it increases, rather than slows, throughput.
You are experienced championing quality in delivery teams, and are a skilled influencer in achieving the right culture and mind-set in these teams.
