Modis are partnering with an industry leading organisation on their continued expansion of their maritime and defence projects
Our client is looking for an experienced Systems Infrastructure Engineer to join their team on an upcoming project. You will be primarily focused on Maritime and Defence related systems and projects. You will be able to supply your subject matter expertise and domain experience to good systems and engineering practices. The role will be a mixture of technical support, infrastructure design and test and evaluation reports. You will also provide specialist technical support to shipbuilder installation, integration and commissioning activities.
The successful candidate will have the following experience:
- Extensive experience as an Infrastructure Engineer
- Experience within the Maritime or Defence Sector is essential
- Candidate must hold an active SC Clearance
- Infrastructure Hardware experience
- Virtualisation experience including virtual resource management and resilience
- Automation and Scripting experience
- Server operating system administration (Windows and Linux)
- Excellent communication skills
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a highly reputable client on large scale work streams. The role is an initial 3-month contract with a high possibility of extension, the role is based 100% remote and it falls inside of IR35.
