Job Requirements:
- Splunk Core Admin or Architect certified
- Splunk Core experience
- Clustering experience
- Data onboarding experience
- Linux knowledge
- Regex knowledge
- Splunk Core 7.x experience
- Splunk Core 8.x experience preferred
- Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) experience preferred
- Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) certified preferred
Job Responsibilities:
- Deploy, operate and maintain Splunk and Splunk Enterprise Security systems
- Provide industry standard expertise in the deployment, configuration, and operations of Splunk and Splunk ES in a large and complex clustered environment
- Review completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and make recommendations to management
- Contribute to efforts to upgrade systems and perform system enhancements
- Document new or existing systems and system changes
- Develop and direct tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements
- Identify, analyze, and resolve system problems
- Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced Splunk engineers
- Participates in special projects to successful closure
- Translate business requirements into concrete engineering solutions
- Set technical expectations and follow through on commitments with internal and external constituents to ensure the timely execution and completion of the engineering and data onboarding activities.
- Work closely with users, other IT teams and vendors to diagnose and resolve configuration, system and performance issues
