Job Title: Service Designer
Location: Fully Remote
Salary/Rate: £635 Per Day (Inside IR35)
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 3 months Initially

If you are a Service Designer looking for an exciting new contract opportunity, we have a great role for you. One of our UK Consultancy clients are looking for a Service Designer to join their team.

As a Service Designer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design perspective of a service. You will identify gaps and opportunities for end users and the organisation across all touch points within both digital and non-digital services, ensuring consistency and the value exchange.

You would work on multiple projects at once, you would be:

  • Working with the team and stakeholders to capture the entire perspective of your service, set the vision and build a roadmap for the future
  • Understanding the existing system of your service and work with teams to target improvements and cost reductions
  • Capturing, documenting and presenting holistic user journeys in a clear, engaging way
  • Actively promoting the design perspective in discussions with teams and stakeholders
  • Understanding user needs and track interactions across departmental and organisational boundaries
  • Arranging all interactions into rational user journeys across the service
  • Creating and rapidly iterate both digital and non-digital service prototypes
  • Utilising, iterate and introduce digital patterns and standards that scale
  • Welcoming constructive criticism and be able to constructively review the work of others
  • Be excited about the future and bring new trends and technology into services
  • Analysing failure within services and identify root causes for that failure.

Skills and experience:

Strong experience delivering Service Design
Strong digital design/product development background
Proven ability to balance the needs of the user with the objectives of the business
Contributes to the development of organisational methods and standards for user research
Experience of devising strategy, blueprints and journey maps
Providing oversight, quality assurance and stakeholder management
Public sector or large corporate background would be ideal.
Evidence of a passion for design - eg arranging meet-ups, design blogs etc.
