Robert Walters has partnered with market leading energy firm Shell Energy to recruit a x4 hands-on, experienced Technical operations engineer support analyst for an initial 6 month contract (inside ir35) based in Coventry. There is strong possibilities to extend beyond that. The role will be will be supporting the tech ops team on a shift pattern to cover eveningand night shift and weekends.
Shift patterns are between 6:30pm - 7:30 am over 7 days (4 on 4 off basis)
Your part in the team:
You will be part of a team of engineers who will support the existing Business as Usual team via the support and management of our production environment outside of normal Business Hours to provide a 24*7*365 run environment.
In these roles you will be responsible for ensuring the systems are proactively managed and events/incidents are responded to in a timely manner to SLAs/Business Priority, especially around, but not limited to the Billing systems, ensuring High System Availability and Business Critical jobs complete successfully. You will also be the first point of contact for our Customer Service Agents in our call centres to ensure they are able to service/support our Customers, driving up customer satisfaction. To assist you, there will also be a team of on-call Third Line support available for Major Incidents as required.
In addition to monitoring/actioning items from the Trouble Ticketing system and Jira queues, the role will encourage Continuous Improvements to the service, involving identifying new monitoring points, ensuring no repeat incidents or creating scripts that can be re-used to reduce the outage time if there are Known Errors. You will also provide additional resource capability for Project work that can/needs to be progressed outside existing business hours.
