Description

Helpdesk Support - Microsoft Server, Windows, Office 365,
Job purpose:

  • Responsible for handling incoming support calls, providing basic first line troubleshooting and advice and support to customers over the phone; update and maintain software packages to record and prioritise calls.
  • Good working knowledge of IT, some previous experience in a technical role and excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of operating systems (eg Microsoft Server 2016 and 2019, Windows 10, Mac, iOS), networking, hardware, software and cloud platforms (eg Office 365)
  • The ability to explain problems and solutions clearly to non-technical users
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • To ensure delivery of high quality remote support services
  • To ensure the speedy and one-time resolution of support issues
  • To ensure that systems are in place and used to track logged issues, ensuring that all issues are recorded correctly, and that support time is logged accurately.
  • To be aware of escalating support issues and manage escalate them accordingly within relevant SLAs.
  • To ensure that customers are communicated with effectively.
  • To work quickly to resolve any internal service administration issues.
  • To ensure that our customer records are kept up to date and secure.
  • To assist in the management the support teams' workload & daily priorities.
  • To ensure that new job tickets fully reflect the issues and works required to resolve and to ensure that customers are supported both inside and outside business hours at a level Dependent on the priority of the issue and customer support contract.
  • To take part in a rota which will require some weekend work, generally a Saturday.
  • To complete all expenses, holiday and sickness forms in a timely manner as per the company's' contract of employment.
  • To ensure that records are kept of any customer equipment returned for work or onward to manufacturer for repair.

Location: Cornwall commutable form Camelford, Bodmin, Wadebridge, St Austell, Launceston
Day rate: £125pd-£150pd
Term: 1 month, potential for a 1 month extension
