IT Support Technician

Umbrella company engagement only.

1st Line Support Engineer required for a well-known organisation based in Bristol.

General responsibilities:-

  • Perform hardware support (Dell, Apple, AV equipment)
  • Perform software support (Windows 10/macOS/any number of applications) fault diagnosis and resolution
  • Place orders and liaise with suppliers.
  • Coordinate equipment moves.
  • Build new devices (primarily Windows, but some Mac and Linux exposure would be a benefit).
  • Liaise with more senior members of the team and other teams within IT Services.
  • Responsible for life cycle management of devices in the assigned areas, including:
    o Arranging orders for new devices
    o Redeployment of devices
    o Coordinating equipment disposal via standard processes.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and Incident, Service Request and Asset records.
  • Previous experience in desktop support/deployment/rollout/service desk/support etc..
