Electronics Test Engineer

£300 to £400 per day
Engineer required to design test fixtures for a high variety of PCB's that are built in house. These test fixtures/jigs will then be delivered by a larger production team then the PCB's will be fitted to products county wide.
Experience/skills required:

  • At least 3 years' experience as an Electronics Test Engineer
  • Ability to design and develop PCB test fixtures
  • Ability to read schematics and understand layouts
  • Best practices in test engineering
  • Working on Legacy hardware designs and new designs
  • Contributions at design phase to improve testability
  • Involvement in specifying test equipment needs (eg LabView etc)
Day to day duties:

  • Design test fixtures for PCB's, to be tested prior to installation
  • Black Box testing
  • Suggesting tools to automate and support future testing
  • Identify reliability problems
