Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, Networking, Security, Kettering/Remote, up to £380 per day Inside IR35
We're currently seeking a Systems Engineer with experience of working within a predominantly Microsoft Environment, with solid Windows server, Exchange, Azure, AD and VMWare skills, to join a market leading, Kettering-based employer for an initial 4 month contract. As the Systems Engineer you operate as an all rounder to assist with the definition and design of both infrastructure and network technologies whilst also assisting with the daily support across Firewalls, Switches and VPN's. As the Systems Engineer you will also carry out patching and backups across their server, network and storage environments whilst also assisting with security processes.
This contract will operate on a hybrid working model split between some time in the office and remote working and the contract has been deemed inside of IR35.
What do I need?
Demonstrable 3rd line server support experience, ideally up to and including Windows Server 2012
Solid experience with Azure, Exchange and Active Directory
VMWare skills
Some networking experience, including Firewalls, Switches, Routers - ideally Palo Alto Firewalls and HP Aruba Switches
Office 365 experience would be a big plus, as would prior experience of working in an ITIL environment
Experience/knowledge of anti-virus solutions
Experience of operating as an escalation point for 1st/2nd line team members
ITIL, CCNA, MCP certifications - Highly beneficial
