Lead GCP Architect - INSIDE IR35
This contract role is required to work within the Banking sector.
Location - London but working remotely for now
Duration - Until November 2021, with the view to be extended
The client has a strategic intent to move its current on-premise data architecture to the Google Cloud Platform ("GCP"). This will enable the Bank to scale and industrialise Analytics use case delivery, and ultimately, to simplify and rationalise its existing on-premise application landscape.
The deal candidate will have:
1. GCP certified
2. Knowledge of on-cloud technologies and how they interact with cloud environments
3. Data migration patterns
4. Experience architecting GCP solutions for:
. Big data - batch/streaming/low latency processing, Hadoop, Spark, hive, Terradata etc
. Integration - apis, microservices, ETL patterns
. Containerisation - Docker, Kubernetes
. Orchestration - Airflow, CtrlM
. Complex networking - routing, Firewalls, etc
. Platform and application layer security
. Scaling and cost management
