Description
Here is your chance to work for a pionerring start-up that build fully-automated technology to predict and trade all liquid electronic financial markets. They are not looking for a Linux/Systems Engineer to come in on a 6 month contract to assist on all thiongs Linux.
With security being of the utmost importance, as a result of this organisatrion operating in the trading space, they operate fully on-premise. Due to this, extensive bare metal experience is required to take this one on.
This is a generalist role, so you will be working on a number of different problems/issues, howver, some oif your initial day-to-day will include:
Ubuntu desktop and user support:
- Troubleshooting desktop issues
- Manage user accounts
- Build PCs
- Maintaining desktop hardware
- Liaise with various teams for account management
Linux Server and hardware support:
- Troubleshoot server hardware, network and configuration issues, such as: hardware faliures, OS and software bugs, bottlenecks, latency
- Deal with monitoring alerts and help develop the platform
- Hardware support
- Maintain the Data Centre inventory
- Server builds and basic network configuration
Nice-to-haves/areas you will develop:
