Description
An urgent role has arisen for a team of IT Workshop Engineers to assist our client in Nottingham for an initial 6 months.
The core responsibility for this role is to repair customer owned equipment and to ensure all equipment is tested and repaired to the highest standard ensuring optimum reliability and ensuring that manufacturer's warranty KPI's are met.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Test and repair all products relating to company business predominantly Apple, HP, Lenovo, Dynabook and Viglen.
- Ensure correct software and/or firmware is used on all repaired equipment
- Follow test and repair procedures as instructed
- Document all repair work as required and ensure that's Tesseract is kept up to date for parts used and repairs.
- Prepare and Repair DOA Apple products for resale
- Deploy via SCCM or USB images to select customers after machines are repaired/refurbished
- Keep up to date with all repairs coming in, ensuring that all warranty parts are returned on time avoiding penalties
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of manufacturers training courses in areas of interest ad relevance to the business
- To positively promote the IT Services Team, acting as a role model through promoting the activities, values and culture of the organisation.
- Provide support to Field Service Engineers as required
- Undertake pre-arranged out of hours support normally over the Christmas period as require
- Any other duties that may be required from time to time for the smooth running of the business.
Start date is Tuesday 1st June.
