Job Title - Salesforce DevOps SpecialistDuration: Initial 6 months
Location- Remote working with travel to customer site in the South East
Rate: £800 per day
Working inside iR35
As a Salesforce DevOps Specialist, you will support the effective and efficient operation of the DevOps process in a large, multi-team salesforce development project
Responsibilities
Workload management
Create salesforce development environment strategy and manage environments to support a smooth and effective flow of product to production
Introduce devops tooling, continuous integration and create CI/CD pipelines to support development and movement of code through the required environments to production. Continually refine and improve the use of tooling and pipelines
Provide business as usual support to your workload and environment
Provide support on escalations for investigation and resolution of technical issues
Helping to support the reduction in the number of "critical" incidents and investigate possible causes and fixes
Monitoring daily activities, including change requests, project deliverables and Jira ticket responsibilities - adopting a practical, methodical approach to identify and resolve issues
Technical processes and development
Develop (where and when necessary) and release management procedures
Develop (where and when necessary) and maintain support procedures
Develop (where and when necessary) and maintain operating policies and procedures
Develop (where and when necessary) backup and recovery solutions for workloads under management
Automating tasks that can and should be automated
Explore ways to constantly improve quality of existing services, processes, and systems to maintain system effectiveness and reliability
Create a robust and responsive deployment and Integration process (CI/CD)
Version control
Security
Security management and configuration, response, and breach mitigation
Ensure platform setup in line with the required security standards
Continually monitor need for security updates and improvements
Remediating vulnerabilities on various environments
Communication
Incident response
Managing technical escalations as necessary
Communicate relevant technical business solutions to the identified internal or external stakeholder
Education, training, and experience requirements:
Skills
MS Office, expert knowledge of Salesforce platform
Graduate level qualified in computer science, engineering or a related discipline or equivalent experience
Salesforce certifications advantageous
IT governance policy ISO270001 and SOC advantageous
Experience
2 years of experience with Salesforce Clouds and Salesforce DevOps
Advanced salesforce admin and security setup
Salesforce data migration and data migration tools
Salesforce event log monitoring
Have solid experience in:
o GIT source code repository and associated tools eg Bitbucket, sourcetree
o Salesforce metadata and DX
o CI/CD toolsets including one or more of (for example) Jenkins, Copado, Gearset (or similar equivalent)
Can:
o Write salesforce DX scripts
o Create CI/CD pipelines suitable for use with multiple projects
