Software Developer - 12 months - £350.00 per day inside IR35 - Heathrow/Remote
A global travel technology organisation is seeking a passionate Software Developer to join their team on an initial 12-month basis. This role would offer hybrid working with 2 days a week being in Heathrow with the rest being remote.
This role has been deemed inside IR35.
The Role:
The end client has recently boarded on its journey to the Cloud in partnership with Microsoft, and Customer Management, part of the Altea Departure Control System (DCS), is one of the pilot applications to migrate to the Cloud - Microsoft Azure.
You will work in the team in charge of this migration, alongside Software Developers and QA Engineers, and using Agile methodology (Scrum and SAFe).
As a Software Development Engineer, you will be accountable for the technical design and delivery of the product functionalities based on the solutions agreed with the stakeholders (Architects, Business Analysts, Product Managers, and the customer themselves), with a strong emphasis on non-functional requirements (performance and reliability in particular) due to the mission-critical nature of the DCS application requiring 24x7 availability.
Desired Technical Skills:
- C++, RDMS/SQL (Oracle),
- Linux - Knowledge of other technologies (Kafka, Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes )
- Python or Java programming experience is desired.
- Travel IT industry experience is a plus.
- Kanban and SCRUM methodologies, Team spirit, Multicultural approach, good communication skills, analytical and conceptual thinking, customer focus.
