Cyber Security Architect

Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires Cyber Security Architects with Automtovive engtineering experience to be based in their client's office in Gaydon Nr Coventry, UK.

This is a 2+ year temporary contract to start ASAP

This role is for a Cyber Security Architect within the Electrical Engineering department.

The right candidate must have total 7+ year experience and 3+ years of relevant experience in Cyber Security.

The purpose of this job is critical for delivering cyber security solutions across multiple present and future projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a secure electro-electronic vehicle architecture matching the off-board security requirements, with a systematic end-to-end view of the features
  • Ensure that the systems and components delivered are in line with the best cyber security practices and at the same time connected with the other functions of the vehicle, working in collaboration with stakeholders -ie, evolving system design and off-board security requirements
  • Ensure that the systems delivered in addition to being secure, are safe and meet quality requirements
  • Deliver a decision on whether the solution adopted should be made for reuse or purchased, aligning the interests of the business
  • For solutions made in-house, work with engineers to ensure delivery of the requirements/specifications necessary for implementation

Key Requirements:

Essential Skills:

  • Leads the technical discussion for creation/integration of security system solutions and creation of security level collateral (documentation, processes, software tools)
  • Leads the technical engagements with internal and external customer to design well-defined security systems and controls
  • The development and communication of structural frameworks (hardware, software, and other components) and the interrelationships between these components taking into account security objectives
  • The provision of direction and guidance on all technical aspects of the development of, and modifications to, security systems to ensure that they take account of relevant architectures, strategies, policies, security standards and practices and that existing and planned systems and infrastructure remain compatible
  • Experience of working with security in Embedded systems
  • Good verbal and written communications
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Track record as an effective team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Client facing role and good communication skills

Desirable Skills:

  • The design, creation, testing, and documenting supporting the new and amended programs to mitigate the risks providing the right specification.
  • Should be able coach team and guide in Security Design -Provide guideline to the security engineers to conduct the security by design during the architecture definition and their components.
  • Experience in Automotive Engineering Delivery and in solving complex technical issues using a structured approach.
  • Experience working and delivering in an agile team
