Desktop Engineer, Thin Clients, deploy/reimage, ASAP, London/Sussex/Kent/Surrey/Berkshire, £Good
Our client is about to embark on a multi site project in different regions of the UK, involving deployment and reimaging of their new hardware being refreshed. They now require 4 engineers to rollout the new laptops, re-Flash/image existing thin clients & provide onsite support. The first region to be completed is East Anglia & Essex from Monday 18th October, with 2 sites to be completed each day, per engineer over a 5 day working week (Mon-Fri). The sites have been scheduled with little travel required between 1st and 2nd site, on average.
Working hours: 8:30 to 17:00 (1 hour for lunch). Toolkit Required (Laptop, Spare Switch, Serial Console Cable, Spare Thin Clients, Asset tags, Printer stickers, USB build sticks, basic engineer toolkit and a Ladder).
The work has been assessed as Outside IR35 and we can pay engineers a flat rate of £180.00 per day.
As background to the role, The engineers to deploy the new and refurbished laptops and re-configure existing thin clients. Any Legacy laptops, or the decommissioning of redundant thin clients, will be removed from the user's desk and stored on-site, for the customer to remove at a later date. All engineers will have to carry a pre-configured switch (supplied by the customer) to each location. This is to be used if the remote configuration of the existing switch fails.

Further to the 1 week work in the region above, there is also another region to be completed week commencing Monday 25th October, in London/Sussex/Kent/Surrey/Berkshire regions.
