ICT Monitoring Developer
Description
In regards to the process Implement Operational Monitoring Event and Optimize an Operational Monitoring Event, the Monitoring Developer is responsible for Developing the collection and if required correlation of existing/new events
Responsibilities
The Monitoring Developer is the SME for the tool Operations Bridge. The monitoring Developer is responsible for designing an efficient monitoring environment for the operations staff. In their role, they ensure ongoing maintenance, manages users and user roles, and looks for opportunities to fine-tune the monitoring process. They design the operational system and puts the processes in place for others to use on a daily basis.

- Create Workspace pages
- Create RTSM views
- Change Infrastructure settings
- Create EPI scripts
As developer (s)he is responsible to integrate events in OMi and to make the proper agreements for that with the ICT Monitoring Requestor.
Examples:
- Create monitoring artifacts
- Implement Monitoring automation
- Create Operator Tools
- Create Correlation rules/Suppression/Downtime
Besides integrating new events they will also tune existing events or cleanup obsolete events.
The Monitoring Developer will also align with the ICT Event Manager in regards to new requirements tooling wise.

- Policy development (Templates, Aspects, MT
- Monitoring automation (automatic assignment rules)
- Assignment and Tuning (parameterization, Management Packs)
- Event Correlation
- Event Suppression
- Other OMi configurations (Notifications, node management, user assignment, downtime management)
- UCMDB experience (Create RTSM pattern views)
- Microfocus OMi
- RTSM-uCMDB
- Operating System basics in Linux, Windows
- Other relevant experience (automation tooling (ex. MF OO, ansible tower, Scripting knowledge, ...)
- Other key competencies:
- Strong communication skills
- Project Management notions (working systematically)
- Team player: willing to share knowledge and help develop others
