Solutions Architect- SC Cleared - Initial 6 month contract - Inside IR35 - £750-£850PD
Our client is in need of an SC-Solutions Architect on a initial 6 month contract.
Focus of your role:
You will be a senior member of the team delivering the MAPPS (a national law enforcement system) programme, the custodian of the Solution Architecture. The role will require you to work closely with the Business Analysts and User Researchers to understand the 'To Be' User needs and ensure that they can be delivered within the constraints of the architecture. You will be the 'go to' person for any technical issues, and will draw on the huge body of knowledge/experience you have to address them.
Location: - Remote working
Your duties and responsibilities:
- Provide Leadership for the solution definition
- Use your technical and business knowledge to inspire and drive forward the solution realisation of the MAPPS Programme
- You will architect/design elements of the solution in line with business objectives, IT Strategy and architecture principles
- You will provide advice/guidance on the use of AWS services to meet the business strategy and objectives
- You will provide advice/guidance including the use of patterns for the delivery of MAPPS
- You will provide best practice advice/guidance for the use of microservices
- Actively support the management of technical risks and issues
- Work closely with the Programme Manager to provide oversight and technical assurance for the delivery
- Prepare and deliver material for the Home Office governance boards
Key Skills for this role:
- An experienced architect with a proven track record in delivering complex solutions in an AWS environment
- Experienced in architecting container solutions
- The use of structured approach to architecture definiton TOGAF/Archimate (knowledge of Enterprise Architect would be advantageous)
- Proven experience in architecting solutions based on a microservices pattern.
- Experienced in mentoring/coaching resources
- Excellent Software Engineering best practice
