Description
Location - Reading/The role holder will be a fixed office worker based near Reading where he/she will be expected to work Embedded in a customer office. Working Monday to Friday within the core operating hours of , there is local flexibility on start/finish times, with a 9-day fortnight. (every other Friday off)
Duration - 3 months
Rate - £740pd (inside ir35)
KEY PURPOSE OF ROLE
The team maintain and develop a big data platform for a UK critical national infrastructure customer. Comprised of Elasticsearch and data lakes built on a Linux estate, the platform supports a suite of cutting-edge cybersecurity and data science tools. The team uses DevOps methodology to deliver continuous improvements that ensure the platform meets rapidly changing security requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
*Deliver outstanding service to our customers, building on our reputation for excellence in delivery
*Carry out design, development, integration and testing of applications and services
*To provide analytical and innovative input to projects and operational support tasks
*Work with various technical teams to identify detailed technical requirements considering data quality and integration.
REQUIRED SKILLS
*Demonstrable hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana (ELK) for low latency data analysis and visualisation
*Basic knowledge of a wide range of cybersecurity topics
*Experience of using Scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python) to automate various processes
*Comfortable working with Linux based operating systems
