Rate: £500-£530p/d
IR35 Status: Outside

Global automotive client seeking a ALM QC Consultant. The ALM QC (SaaS) Consultant role has the responsibility of assisting the Test Competency Centre (TCC) Lead and the TCC appointed SI with the Planning, Preparation and onboarding of the Global Test Management Tool and the ongoing support, maintenance and enhancement of the tool for the Technology Transformation (TT) Programme. The TT programme supports 5 other transformation programmes, providing QA services and support for the tool (currently MFI ALM QC SaaS).
The initial focus of this role is supporting the establishment of the Quality Assurance Framework by assisting both the TCC Lead and TP SI Partners in the smooth implementation and rollout to all 6 Transformation Programmes.
The ALM QC Consultant/Administrator will work with multiple colleagues, programme teams and SI's and must be able to communicate effectively and with knowledge. The successful candidate must have a strong QA & Testing background and experience in standing up ALM QC (SaaS version), workflow configuration enhancements and supporting and advising ongoing improvements.

Responsibilities
Supporting the TCC and Transformation Programmes (TP) in relation to the ALM QC test management tool:
  • Produce and maintain the ALM QC Configuration Document and upload templates
  • Produce and maintain the ALM QC Requirements & Testing Management Standards document
  • Produce and maintain the ALM QC Defect Management standards document
  • Produce and Maintain the ALM QC Add On and Integrations support document eg Excel, JIRA
  • Provide ALM QC Train the Trainer' sessions and support across the TP's
  • Providing guidance, coaching and support to the SI and programme teams
  • Provide ALM QC user onboarding: assist with mass uploads, assignment of roles, deactivations
  • Provide ALM QC metrics pinpointing areas of misuse and advising on remediation actions
  • Provide assistance to TP QA Leads on optimum setup for their test preparation and execution
  • Own the backlog of requests for ALM QC changes from key stakeholders and MFI upgrades
  • Configure, test and release agreed changes into the various demo, sandpit and production environments
  • Document, analyse and provide recommendations from TP requests for process changes, enhancements and additional reporting
  • SPOC for Tier 2 support requests, incidents and managing the escalation of incidents
  • SPOC for queries, requests and incidents raised with MFI and MFI support partner
  • SPOC for regular upgrades, planned maintenance and unplanned downtime
  • Conduct monitoring of licence usage, and liaise with procurement for additional licences
  • Continually anticipating future demands and ensuring timely advice to key stakeholders
  • Conduct audit activities to ensure financial and/or personal data is not stored in the tool as per the agreed procedure with InfoSec.
  • Liaising with the SI partner supporting the QIP Analytics tool
Experience
  • Has strong hands on experience with the setup and ongoing support for ALM QC SaaS (V15 or greater) in a complex multi transformation programme
  • Has experience working in a Test Competency Centre, Test Centre of Excellence or equivalent implementing and supporting Test Management Tools.
  • Has experience in customising ALM QC to support Agile, Waterfall and hybrid methodologies
  • Has experience facilitating and detailing ALM QC customisation requirements for all modules within the tool such as Requirements, Test Plan/Lab, Defect Management etc.
  • Has experience evaluating, testing, and configuring ALM QC customised workflows, Add Ons and 3rd party integrations eg JIRA, Automation Tools, Performance Test Tools etc
  • Has experience with process improvement and understands QA processes and KPI's
  • Has experience facilitating ALM QC upgrades and understands potential impacts to current state
  • Has experience with the development of test metrics used at all levels in a complex test programme and standardising the use of the metrics.
  • Understands tests at all levels and the differing requirements for test management tool support
  • Has experience selecting, implementing, maintaining and using challenger and market leading tool sets in relation to Test Management for example (Zephyr, Xray, ALM QC/Octane), Automation (Selenium, Leapwork, UFT) and Load & Performance (Loadrunner, Gatling)
  • Has an ability to work at both the summary and the detailed level
  • Can work under pressure and deliver on time, to plan
